July 2003 Picture of the Month

Taken on Tuesday July 22nd, 2003 during the power outage in Memphis from the summer storm. Sustained winds were over 100 MPH (high enough to be class two hurricane if it had been one). Knocked power out to 600,000 of the 800,000 people in Memphis; most for at least a few days, some for more than a week.
